Knock-Down or Assembled Steel Cabinets: What Buyers Should Compare

The trade-offs between freight efficiency, assembly time, carton protection and end-user expectations.

Start with the information that changes the product

For a steel furniture quotation, a reference image alone is rarely enough. Dimensions, material thickness, internal layout, hardware, finish, packing method, quantity and destination market all affect the structure and the production plan.

Make the specification measurable

Clear drawings and agreed samples reduce avoidable interpretation. The useful question is not only whether a product looks right, but whether the key dimensions, moving parts, surface finish and packing can be checked consistently before shipment.

Use the first enquiry to remove uncertainty

A good supplier response should identify missing information before presenting a final price. That early clarification helps purchasing teams compare proposals on the same basis and reduces revisions after an order moves forward.
